OneVoice South Africa’s collaboration in the STOP AIDS NOW! South African Partnership. 

Drawn together by their common desire to learn about the tremendous challenges faced by young South Africans, in particular HIV and AIDS, 10 organisations from different parts of South Africa developed a collective focus to inform responses and commitments to children and their communities in South Africa.

The offer to engage with each other equaled the desire to grow; to do “more and better” of what each was doing – on their own. Together we developed new and innovative approaches to the HIV and AIDS pandemic and increased our impact on the pandemic.

One of the products developed through this joint-venture is a business card-size mini referral system, which contains important numbers young people can call if they have an emergency.

The HIV-911 Programme is a comprehensive guide to close to 13 000 HIV-related support services in South Africa. HIV-911 strives to ensure that the HIV-911 database is accessible to all South Africans. Anyone can use HIV-911 to provide information on where to locate HIV-related services and support in any area of the country.
